Occupational Therapist at OT Therapy Tullamore

Welcome
My name is Gaynor Ann Beyer and I am the owner and therapist at OT Therapy.  I am a mother of 4 beautiful grown children. Two children have hypermobility of the joints and my son has epilepsy. I have 2 charming granddaughters, aged 6 and 3 months, and two handsome grandsons, (aged 2 years, who both teach me new things every day.

I am an Senior Occupational Therapist who has had over 18 years of experience working with people who face daily challenges. I am employed in the HSE as a full-time Senior OT working with both children and adults. I have been working in Ireland since 2003. Throughout my experience, as a Senior Occupational Therapist in the HSE, I have gained valuable skills in clinical assessment, intervention and treatment of developmental and acquired challenges which might interfere with living a life of quality and fulfilment. I run my clinic in Tullamore and Leitrim after hours as waiting lists are so long in certain areas, and this can distress parents terribly. My prices are very reasonable and I provide a thorough assessment, written report and recommendations.

I have specialised in Developmental Disorders and completed my Masters in this field through the University of South Wales in the UK. My dissertation researched the lived experience of anxiety for children who have DCD/Dyspraxia I have a post-Graduate Diploma in Multi-Element Behaviour Support as well as being trained as a Triple P Teenager Parent Trainer. I also have a post-graduate Diploma from The University of Queens on the Inclusion of children with Special Needs.

The practice is about making positive improvements for the children we meet and offer intervention to.  We work with parents, teachers, schools and organisations in a partnership, to improve the quality of life for each child/adult. Striving to make a positive impact on every child and every client we come into contact with. In doing this we aim to increase peoples understanding of the benefits of the Occupational Therapy profession.

I strive towards making positive and lasting changes, resulting in improvements for everyone who uses our service. I value honesty and integrity. It's as simple as that, I am open and honest with you from your very first interaction through to the last. I think it is important to give you as much information as possible so that you can make an informed choice about using OT Therapy service, or if Occupational Therapy is not appropriate we will happily guide you in the right direction.

My passions and enthusiasm are to work with children or adults who challenges or difficulties in their daily lives. I work with all diagnosis and with children who do not have a diagnosis.
